Day to Date

Jennifer Hodges The Piece: Lace skirt The Plan: I chose one of my favorite skirts to demonstrate how to go from day to date in a few easy steps. For day, I paired the skirt with a red jacket and scarf, which makes the skirt office-appropriate. To spice things up for the evening, I ditched the jacket and scarf and added black and gold jewelry and gold and black booties. Emily Caswell The Piece: T-Shirt The Plan: First of all, this T-Shirt, with its split detail in the back and super soft fabric, is one of my favorite pieces so wearing it 12 plus hours is actually a luxury. For Valentine’s Day I’ll pair it with black skinny jeans, basic boots and accessories and a cozy jacket. For Valentine’s Night I’ll switch out the jeans for this super sleek sequin skirt. I’ll up the ante when it comes to my accessories and complete the look with the help of a signature scent and my favorite hair tool of all time – this volume brush. Lisa Twenter The Piece: Classic black dress The Plan: This saucy closet staple doesn’t often make weekday appearances. You can easily make the classic little black dress work appropriate by treating it as a black pencil skirt. Adding a cozy gray sweater and tights make for a cute and comfy work outfit, while allowing for a quick transition into Valentine’s Day evening festivities. Taking my makeup from day-to-date is easy with a quick swipe of blush and dramatic mascara. [nggallery id=279]
