Independent Bank receives Financial Literacy Award Independent Bank has been recognized for its 2010 financial literacy efforts by the Michigan Bankers Association with the 2011 MBA Financial Literacy Award. The building recently earned certification by the Society of Environmentally Responsible Facilities (SERF). New Monthly Show Filmed at Perspective2 Studio in Old Town Beginning last month 6 in the City, an hour-long show featuring the six women who anchor at 6 News on WLNS, is being filmed at Perspective2 Studio in Old Town in front of a live audience. Viewers will have the chance to see the women in a relaxed environment, discussing what it’s like to be a mother, sister, wife and friend. They’ll also introduce viewers to people in the community. MSUFCU Experiences Immense Growth In order to better serve growing membership, MSU Federal Credit Union was pleased to hire many new employees in 2010.
