WILLINGHAM & COTE APPOINTS HILLOCK AS JUDGE ADVOCATE FOR AMERICAN LEGION

Willingham & Cote is pleased to announce that Kimberlee Hillock has been appointed judge advocate for American Legion with Department of Michigan (michiganlegion.org).

The primary duty of the judge advocate is to advise the post, post officers and the executive board on all legal matters, including the construction and interpretation of the Legion constitution and bylaws, to ensure the proper conduct of post business and to procure proper counsel on behalf of the Department.

Hillock is the chair of Willingham & Cote’s appellate work practice area, as well as chair of the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel’s Amicus Committee and a member of the Michigan Supreme Court Historical Society Advocates Guild.

Hillock is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and she served during Operation Desert Storm. She is a member of the American Legion and the Marine Corps League. She currently volunteers as a veteran mentor in the Ingham County Veterans’ Treatment Court.
