Local Women: Dr. Simone Ranes

Dr. Simone Ranes Chiropractic Physician After receiving a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Michigan State University, Dr. Simone Ranes discovered a passion for a different type of healing and so she began taking chiropractic classes at Lansing Community College and eventually became a Chiropractic Physician. Although not a medical doctor, Ranes is a specialist in the healthcare industry. She’s both a chiropractor and a massage therapist, which sets her apart from some others in her field. As a physician, her technique is safe for any age or condition. “Anyone that would be comfortable with a massage would be comfortable with me,” says Ranes. She likes to spend time with each patient teaching them about their bodies and talking about posture, exercise and eating habits. Most of her patients come from word-of-mouth referrals and many come back for more help. Of course, she added she would always like to see some new faces. In her free time, Ranes enjoys reading or spending time with her husband, two kids and English mastiff. She is also a member of the Capital Area Koi and Water Gardening Club.
