Since she was eight years old, Dr. Nikole Pecora knew that she wanted to work everyday to bring more beautiful smiles into the world. Dr. Pecora said, “I always knew that I wanted a career where I would be working with people and forming relationships along the way. Dentistry just always seemed like a natural fit.” After attending Michigan State University for her undergraduate studies and continuing on to The University of Michigan for dental school and her orthodontic residency, Dr. Pecora, along with her partner Don Burkhardt, DDS, MS opened two offices in the greater Lansing area. “There are so many great things about my career. We see a lot of patients, children and adults that avoid smiling because of how they feel about their teeth. It’s rewarding to see them smile confidently (and often) after treatment is complete. It can truly be life changing.” Dr. Pecora currently resides in Dimondale with her husband, Matthew, and three children. When she isn’t working hard to provide the highest quality of care for both her patients and family, Dr. Pecora strives to give back to the community. Her offices have participated in fundraisers for Toys for Tots, local food drives, and a hat and mitten drive. She said, “Most recently both offices joined forces for the East Lansing Relay for Life. Together our team raised over $3,000 toward the American Cancer Society. It is a great opportunity for our team to come together and give back to the community that has been so good to us.”
