As much all of us at Capital Area Women’s LifeStyle Magazine adore the long, lazy days of summer, there is something to be said about getting back into our regular routine after Labor Day. There’s also something to be said about getting back into our more structured boardroom looks and leaving behind breezy summer knits. Still, just because you’re putting on work wear doesn’t mean it has to be boring. The following looks are proof.
What’s even better is that any of the three looks can be paired with the three accessory combinations.
A crisp, clean, white button up is a can’t-beat item when it comes to your work wardrobe. This one has a bit of added detail on the front, making it the perfect fit with this black and white check skit. Add on a leather belt and heavy metal necklace to give the look a bit more personality.
Shirt, $68; Skirt, $88; Belt, $58; Necklace, $68.
This khaki suit is made a bit more feminine by ruffle detailing around the collar, add in the layered ruffles on the top and bow-detail belt and you have a look that’s all business with a soft touch.
Jacket, $158; Pants, $98; Top, $64; Necklace, $58; Belt, $38.
A black suit is a must for most business professionals. Make it your own by adding pops of color and texture with items like this flower and feather broach. Another great detail of this look is the bustier top.
Jacket, $148; Pants, $88; Bustier, $88; Necklace, $58; Broach, $35.
