April Clobes adds COO to her Title at MSU Federal Credit Union Patrick McPharlin, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of MSU Federal Credit Union, has announced the promotion of April Clobes, MSUFCU’s executive vice president, to the newly created position of chief operating officer (COO). Clobes will continue her responsibilities as Executive Vice President and assume additional management responsibilities at MSUFCU as its new COO. April Clobes has been with MSUFCU since October of 1996 and has held a variety of staff and management positions. Clobes received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Michigan State University, a master’s degree in advertising from Michigan State University and an MBA from Western Michigan University. Creative Wellness Welcomes New Staff Members Creative Wellness, Michigan’s largest complementary health center, recently welcomed two new massage therapists, Renee Allen and Rocky Pang and chiropractor Dr. Megan Patrick to its growing staff. Allen has more than 15 years of experience as a massage therapist working in northern Michigan. Pang attended massage school at Lansing Community College and also has a bachelor’s degree in advertising from San Jose State in California. Dr. Patrick earned her Doctor of Chiropractic at New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, N.Y. and her bachelor or health sciences from the University of Western Ontario. Granger Honored with First-Ever DeWitt Township Outstanding Corporate Citizen Award The DeWitt Charter Township board awarded Granger the Township’s first-ever Outstanding Corporate Citizen award on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at DeWitt Township Hall. “We’re so humbled by this award,” said Granger President Keith Granger, “Granger is very proud to serve residents in DeWitt Township, and we are thankful to the board and the community for their recognition.” The Outstanding Corporate Citizen award recognizes Granger for its positive contributions to the public. The local business was honored for being a “valued citizen” within the community and for giving back to residents, as well as for its ongoing commitment to providing safe, renewable and environmentally responsible trash collection and energy services. Granger is a third generation, family-owned and operated business based in DeWitt Township, Mich. Linda Koning Promoted to Department Chair of PFW at Lansing Community College Linda Koning recently accepted the position of Department Chair in the Physical Fitness and Wellness Department at Lansing Community College. Koning has been with the college for 14 years holding a part-time position as a program director in the PFW Department as well as a faculty member teaching healthy lifestyles and lead faculty in the cardiac rehabilitation program. She has a masters of arts in health and physical education from Michigan State University; a bachelor’s of science in physical education from Calvin College in Grand Rapids and is an LCC graduate with an associate degree in applied science in nursing. Darice Darling joins HBG Hayes Green Beach Memorial Hospital recently announced the hiring of Darice Darling as director of marketing and communications. Darling, of Holt, will lead the hospital’s external and internal communication efforts, including public and media relations, advertising and marketing. She will also participate in strategic planning, brand management and crisis communications. Darling earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Michigan State University and is a member of the Public Relations Society of America. Melissa Rogers named Vice President of Marketing and PR at GreenStone GreenStone Farm Credit Services recently announced the selection of Melissa Rogers as its new vice President of marketing and public relations. Prior to her transition to vice president of marketing and public relations, Rogers served for four years as GreenStone’s marketing specialist. Rogers holds a bachelor of science in agricultural and natural resources communications and a bachelor of arts in advertising, both from Michigan State University.
