Health Tips From M3 Group
I drink water all day because I’d rather eat my calories than drink them!
I like to go directly from work to my gym or fitness activity. Planning on going straight from my office to my workout class is a sure way to make sure I don’t find an excuse not to get to the gym when I get home!
Walk your dog every day for additional exercise and fun for your pup!
I like to use smaller plates and bowls to keep portions right sized.
Every morning I do my best to drink a full glass of ice cold water. This helps kick start your metabolism, flushes out toxins and helps fuels your brain. Your body is thirsty after six to eight hours of sleep, so drink up!
When I worked on the 4th floor of an office building I always took the stairs. I still avoid elevators for the exercise and never miss an opportunity to get up from my desk if I have time.
Water … drinking water instead of pop always. Drinking water at a certain time maximizes its effectiveness on the body. Two glasses of water after waking up — helps activate internal organs. One glass of water 30 minutes before a meal — helps digestion. One glass of water before taking a bath — helps lower blood pressure. One glass of water before going to bed — avoids stroke or heart attack.
To avoid a dry scalp try washing your hair every other day.
I recommend getting a lot of rest. Sleep not only makes you feel better, itﾕs also an important part of a healthy lifestyle. Also, brushing your teeth can lessen your risk of developing heart disease.
Go to bed early. Having some kind of routine around bed time helps me unwind from the day and relieves stress so I can wake up ready to start fresh!
Keep your water bottle full and on your desk, anytime itﾕs low, refill it. Having it within your view may encourage you to drink more water.
We always cook with extra virgin olive oil, never butter or margarine.
I try to get up and stretch for about 10 minutes when I first wake up in the morning. Itﾕs an easy and relaxing way to wake up since Iﾕm not a morning person, and it relaxes my muscles before I get ready for work, which is always a nice way to start the day.
I take 5000 IU of Vitamin D daily. Vitamin D improves resistance to diabetes, heart attacks, arthritis, cancer and osteoporosis. Vitamin D is known as the sunshine vitamin. Doesn’t everyone need more sunshine in their life?
Portion control is key. A friend told me once she lost weight by just following the portion sizes on the boxes or jars or packages of your food. Simple yet effective.
I park further away/at the back of parking lots to burn extra calories walking to the door.
An apple a day keeps the doctor away.
