Brozovic is in the process of creating an app, People Like Me, for the LGBT community. She also owns her own freelance design and photography business, Blue Eyes Design. To learn more about her app or company, visit: www.peoplelikemeapp.com or www.blueeyesdesign.net. Q: Tell me about your upcoming app, People Like Me. A: People Like Me is meant to promote the positives for the LGBT community. LGBT-friendly businesses of every type are what I’m hoping to bring more light to with this app. The app will provide local, location-based business information to users and allow the LGBT community to rate and review these businesses based on their perspective as an LGBT individual. Q: How do you think this app will affect the community? A: My intent is that it would be focused on positive places, those that are the most LGBT-friendly. I feel that as a community we talk a lot about businesses that we shouldn’t go to for various discrimination reasons, which are absolutely important, but I would like to know more about what places we should be going. I believe that if we focused more on those good places, dollars would naturally flow more in that business’ direction, creating a positive outcome for them, as well as a positive experience/place for LGBT individuals. It would only grow from there. Q: What are your plans for the future? A: I want to keep working at developing this app as well as my design and photography businesses. I want to keep working at those things that I’m passionate about and trust that things will work how they’re supposed to in the end. I’m a big believer in following the “do what you love and the rest will follow” motto.
