Suit Up! Sizzle While you Splash this Summer
If the staff at Capital Area Women’s LifeStyle Magazine had a choice we’d be pool side or lying out at the beach all summer. Okay, well maybe not all summer — we’d miss all of you way too much. Still, it’s no secret that some of us will be spending the majority of our spare time sunny-side up. And of course, we’ll be doing so in style. Here are a few of our favorite looks to make you sizzle while you splash!
This tankini, with ring detail on top and printed detail on bottom, is perfect for a day at the beach or pool, especially if you’ll be chasing kids … or a Frisbee. Thanks to the printed suit, you can go with a solid cover up, sun hat and sandals to complete the look.
Ring bandini by Chaps, $40; Printed bottom also by Chaps, $40; Hat by Croft & Barrow, $24; Cover up by Apt. 9, $34; Sandals by Sonoma, $20, all available at Kohl’s.
When the forecast calls for all sun, you’ll want to show a bit more skin. This top with a bit of shimmer is exactly what you’ll need. Keep your look a bit more modest by paring the top with a swim skirt. And as any sun goodness knows, you can’t forget to accessorize. Add a bracelet, sheer top and sunglasses to complete the look.
Bandeau top by Apt. 9, $38; Swim skirt by Dana Buchman, $40; Tunic by Croft & Barrow, $28; Sandals by Sonoma, $20; all available at Kohl’s. Bracelet by Toi Toi, $11.95; Hat, vintage, $14.95 both available at Kellie’s Consignments.
It’s hard to go wrong with an animal print, and poolside wear is no exception. Flatter your figure and feel free to play in this leopard print one piece. Add accessories for an extra roar!
One-piece suit by Croft & Barrow, $78; Sandals by Candies, $22; Bag by Dana Buchman, $79; Necklace also by Dana Buchman, $32; Bracelet by Sonoma, $18; Hat by Croft & Barrow, $26 all available at Kohl’s. Cover up by Sand & Sun, $6.95 available at Kellie’s Consignments.
