The Unconventional Valentine’s Day Dates

Ah, Valentine’s Day. It can be a whirlwind of excitement when you’re in a new relationship and don’t know what to expect from your significant other. If you’ve been a pair for a while, you probably have a good idea of what your husband, wife, girlfriend or boyfriend has up their sleeve when this Hallmark® holiday rolls around. While it’s always nice to receive a beautiful bouquet and go to the fanciest restaurant in town, it’s even more fun to switch things up. Why have a predictable evening when you can have one at a place you’ve never been before? The shake-up in routine will end up being more fun for both of you, and you’ll have new memories to look back on for the next 365 days.

Michigan State Basketball

It’s nearly impossible not to have any Michigan State school spirit when you live in the Lansing area. The Spartans are taking on the Indiana Hoosiers on none other than Valentine’s Day, so why not kill two birds with one stone and make it a daylong date? The game starts at 1 p.m., so begin your day with a delicious brunch in East Lansing at Beggar’s Banquet or Hopcat and head over to the Breslin Center afterward. Your eventful day will mean no one will be leaving the couch post-game.
