With Father’s Day this month my daughter and I tried to come up with a craft idea that the number No. 1 man in our lives can use and enjoy.
When we looked through his closet we noticed he has way too many ties! At that point we knew exactly what he needed …a tie rack!
This is a fun project you and your little one can create for Father’s Day that can be enjoyed every day.
Surprise your father, brother, hubby, grandpa or best guy friend this Father’s Day with a DIY tie rack created with love. Most items can be found at your local craft store.
I would love to see your finished Quick Craft. If you create this craft or any of the crafts featured in the DIY Quick Craft feature, please take a picture and email it to me at jhodges@cawlm.com.
Happy crafting!

  • Stickers to create your message (we found a sheet of stickers specifically for fathers)
  • Stain (choose a finish you think your guy would like)
  • Soft fabric
  • Clothespins
  • Wood panel (located in your local craft store in the wood craft section)
  • Ribbon (masculine colors)
  • Hot glue
  • Glue gun
  • Brackets to hang the tie rack
  • Hammer

5 MIN: Attach the brackets to the back of the wood panel.
10 MIN: Stain the wood panel and be sure to stain the trim of the panel. Let stain dry completely.
5 MIN: Measure and cut ribbon to fit on the top of the clothespin.
10 MIN: Hot glue the ribbon to the clothespins.
3 MIN: Place your sticker message in the middle of the wood panel.
10 MIN: Hot glue the clothespins to the wood panel (be sure to space evenly).
