An Important Conversation

Conversations can bring a community together. They can inform, educate, heal and ignite a positive spark.

The Greater Lansing Area Club of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs Inc. invites you to a very important dialogue.

“Let’s Talk About It!” is a community conversation about S.A.F.E.* encounters with law enforcement. The forum will take place at 5:30 p.m. March 12 at Dwight Rich School of the Arts, 2600 Hampden Drive in Lansing.

The forum will include thoughtful discussion on:

  • How to respond when interacting with law enforcement
  • Building good relationships with law enforcement
  • Legal rights of interrogation
  • The emotional impact on families and law enforcement
  • Saving the lives of youth and young adults

The event will include a question-and-answer session with panelists including District Court Judge Donald L. Allen Jr., Probate Court Judge Shauna Dunnings, Lansing Police Chief Daryl Green, attorney Takura Nyamfukudza, Ingham County Prosecutor Carol A. Siemon and Ingham County Sheriff Scott Wriggelsworth.

To RSVP, call (517) 258-0475. You can also visit Eventbrite for more information.

Be a part of the conversation.
