During this time of year, our home is almost never without a pie. Because really, who ever only buys just one pie for a party? So what do you do with the leftovers you can’t seem to finish? Try a new spin on a holiday cocktail this year with a spiked pie milkshake.
2 cups vanilla ice cream, slightly softened
1 tablespoon milk
1oz. Bourbon (or substitute for vanilla vodka or any kind of apple pie liquor)
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 slice of cold apple pie, cut into chunks
Step 1: In a blender, place the ice cream, milk, bourbon and cinnamon. Cover and blend on high speed until smooth and creamy.
Step 2: Add the pie chucks and cover until blended smooth. Stop the blender and scrape down the sides if necessary.
Step 3: Pour into tall glasses, top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon.
