Lansing Fashion Finds

When a special occasion comes up, we don’t always have the time to go out on a huge shopping trip when our closets fall short. Whether it’s a job interview, vacation or dinner party, you can find whatever you’re looking for at one of the various shops in the greater Lansing area.

Affordable Chic

If you’re in need of a dressy-casual outfit and not looking to break the bank, Belle Row Boutique is the place to go.

Owner Devin Bradley describes her boutique as young, contemporary and affordable.

Belle Row 1Bradley says Belle Row is best known among shoppers for its reasonable price points and quality clothing. With about 70 percent of all in-store products made in the United States, you’re getting incredible quality for unbelievable prices.

This red knit dress really caught my eye at Belle Row. With its flattering cut and comfortable material, this piece can easily go day to night by swapping out your work flats for heels and blazer for a sleek duster coat. At only $38, there’s nowhere to go wrong with this little dress.Belle Row 2

Looking to accessorize? Belle Row also carries a variety of necklaces, earrings, and watches that will add some sparkle to any outfit.

Belle Row Boutique: 3320 E Lake Lansing Rd, East Lansing, MI 48823. Hours: Monday — Saturday, 11:00 AM to 7 PM.

Finishing Touches

Francescas 1For all of the accessory-lovers out there, Francesca’s in Eastwood Towne Center is your heaven on Earth. This shop is filled to the brim with a variety of different earrings, statement necklaces, headbands, bracelets, watches and rings — not to mention all of their adorable bedside trinkets.

If you’re shopping for yourself, a friend, a daughter, or sister, you’re guaranteed to find Francescas 2something that will be a favorite across the board. Jewelry at Francesca’s isn’t priced any higher than $50, so the commitment to these stylish pieces is not the most serious thing. However, you will be looking like you spent a whole lot more.

With spring break just around the corner, many of us are starting to gather all of the necessary clothing and accessories for our week at the beach. If you’re in the market for a fun beach hat or cover-up to soak up the sun in, look no further. Francesca’s Cabo Straw hat (shown, black rim) can go from the beach to a lunch-spot effortlessly. At only $24, it’s well worth the investment.
