Labor Day weekend is an excellent time to plan one last summer hurrah before fall is officially upon us. Whether you are planning a trip, or looking for a day trip, there’s no need to leave Michigan in order to kick back and relax. Here are a few things you can do right here in mid-Michigan this Labor Day weekend!

The greater Lansing area is home to some great campgrounds so this Labor Day weekend, consider exploring the great outdoors, right in your back yard. Some of our favorites are Lansing Cottonwood Campgrounds, Sleepy Hollow State Park and Waterloo State Recreation Area.  

 

 

Visit a Farmers Market

Downtown Lansing is home to many great farmers markets to visit. A great activity this Labor Day weekend is to take the family to a farmers market, as there are is always something for everyone. Pick up some ingredients to make dinner at the Lansing City Market, East Lansing Farmers Market, or the Grand Ledge Farmers Market!

Bike Rides

Labor Day weekend is the perfect time to get out and get some exercise. Lansing is home to a number of great bike and foot trails for you to explore this weekend. Visit here for more information on trails!
